READING, Pa. – Women's tennis (1-1) fell to visiting Washington College (Md.) (1-0) on Saturday afternoon in a battle of top teams in the region. The Shorewomen took the match 5-2 over the Lions.
Albright entered today riding an 18-match win streak in the regular season, a streak that dates to the spring of 2024. The winning streak is the longest in school history.
Last week, Albright opened their season with a 7-0 sweep over Penn State Berks.
Allison Horick won today in number three singles winning 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 before her opponent was forced to retire. Horick has yet to lose in her Albright career standing at a perfect 17-0 in singles play. The record includes two wins in last year's MAC Commonwealth playoffs and a win in the NCAA Tournament.
Nadia Margaritov played number four singles today and won in three sets after dropping the first. Margaritov lost set one 6-2 before finding her groove to take the second set 6-3 and the third 7-5.
