COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Men's tennis competed in the two-day Ursinus Invitational this past Friday and Saturday. The Lions competed in singles and doubles matches throughout the day against Alvernia and Ursinus. No team score was recorded for the two days.
RESULTS
Enrico Pucci went a perfect 3-0 in singles play winning matches against James Fassbender (Ursinus) 8-4, Devin Carter (Ursinus) 6-1, 6-1 and Andrei Bogdan (Ursinus) 8-5.
Matching Pucci in going undefeated in singles was
Nikolai Damman. Damman defeated Jacob Ohrin (Ursinus) 8-1, Luke Brisbois (Alvernia) 8-3 and Pierce Rohlfing (Ursinus) 8-1.
Gavin Buckley picked up two wins defeating Duncon McDowell (Alvernia) 8-1 and Jacob Ohrin (Ursinus) 9-7.
Matias Contreras also won two singles matches picking up wins against Bogdan Maksimovic (Ursinus) 6-0, 6-4 and Teddy Snyder (Ursinus) 8-6.
Dylan Huha,
Charles Coleman,
Marcelo Menchaca and
Karim Fattal all won a singles match over the course of the two days. Huha beat Lucas Montello (Alvernia) 8-2, Coleman beat Troy O'Malley (Alvernia) 8-1, Menchaca beat Devin Carter (Ursinus) 8-1 and Fattal beat Charles DiCicco (Ursinus) 6-0, 6-3.
Leonardo Russo Gispert and Contreras teamed up in doubles play and won their match against Rohlfing/Carter (Ursinus) 6-1.
Adam Good and Fattal paired up and won their doubles match 6-3 over Ohrin/Kao (Ursinus). Fattal would go on to pair with Huha in their next match producing another 6-4 win over Snyder/Maksimovic (Ursinus).
Menchaca and Buckley rounded out the tournament with a 6-1 win in doubles play over Carter/Fassbender (Ursinus).
