Women’s Golf Beats King’s in Match Play

The Lions women’s golf team won their first competition of the season on Friday afternoon beating King’s in match play 4 ½ to ½ .

DALLAS, Pa. - Women's golf began their season in style on Friday afternoon taking four and half points out of a possible five over King's in match play. The match play event was held at Lehman Golf Club. 

Today's match play was the first competition of the 2025 fall season for the Lions. Albright is off to a strong start after cruising to a 4 ½ to ½ victory over King's.

Braidan Wastler and first-year Lion Andrea Williams both won their pairings 10&8. The duo had it working all afternoon long to give the Lions two points early on in the match.

Grace Rogers also made her Albright debut today and turned in a solid effort winning 6&5. Rogers win gave the Lions the team victory earning their third point of the afternoon out of a possible five total points.

Ilaria Catania returned to the Lions lineup in her junior season and won her pairing this afternoon 1 UP. Callie Cooper rounded out the Lions in action finishing her pairing all square.

Albright will be right back in action tomorrow afternoon playing against Scranton and Misericordia.
