READING, Pa. – Men's Basketball (4-9, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) played their first of back-to-back road games beginning with the Eastern Eagles (4-8, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth). Following 40 minutes of play, the Eagles would wind up with an 87-68 win over the Lions.
Phanique Dupree was one of three Lions to end the night in double digits with a team high 17 points and brought in 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season in 34 minutes.
Finishing right behind Dupree with 16 of his own was
Chase McWhite. In 29 minutes of play McWhite would connect on seven of his 11 shot attempts while accounting for a block and five rebounds on the defensive side of the ball.
The Lions would enter halftime trailing the Eagles 43-34.
Jeremiah Stanton accounted for a large portion of the team's offensive effort and dished out a team leading seven assists and inches closer to 300 career assists (280).
Qadir Mithcell connected on a pair of three pointers for six of his 12 points and has ended each game with 10 or more points so far this season.
Ultimately, the Eagles would put together another strong half of offense allowing them to hang on for their second win in their last three games.
