YORK, Pa. – Men's basketball (8-9, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) closed the game on a 15-4 run to down #25 York (14-3, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) on the road 87-81 winning their fourth straight game. Albright has won two straight over York dating back to last season.
With four minutes remaining in the game Albright trailed by five 77-72. From that moment on it was all Albright.

Jeremiah Stanton found a cutting
Phanique Dupree who laid it in plus the foul.
Dupree made the ensuing free throw to put the Lions up for good at 78-77. During the 15-4 run Stanton and McWhite combined for 10 points. The win gives Albright their second three game or more winning streak of the season.
Four Lions ended the day in double figures led by McWhite's 23. An efficient 9-15 from the floor and 5-5 from the free throw line led McWhite to a new career high. Nine rebounds were credited to McWhite marking his fourth straight game with eight or more rebounds.
Qadir Mitchell notched his first career double-double while also continuing his streak of scoring in double figures in every game this season. The senior guard finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Defensively, Mitchell recorded all four of Albright's team steals.
Dupree scored 17 points while adding six rebounds and five blocks. Four of the five blocks came in the second half anchoring the Lions defense.
Stanton scored 11 points with five of them coming in the final two minutes. Stanton added three assists to give him 92 total on the season closing in on the century mark. Miles smith came off the bench going 3-4 from the floor including 1-1 from three-point range ending with nine points.
Albright shot 54.5% from the floor, doing most of their damage in the paint. 52 points were scored in the paint by Albright to just 42 from York.
The win is the first over a nationally ranked opponent since November 2024 when Albright topped Swarthmore.
