READING, Pa. – Men's Basketball (4-8, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) ended their three game home stand against Hood (10-2, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) on Wednesday beginning conference play. Neither team could do much wrong on offense as the visiting Blazers would leave with a 114-95 win over the Lions. 
 
Qadir Mitchell led the way for the Lions with 30 points which included him converting nine of his 10 free throw attempts. This marks the seniors second game of the season with 30 or more points increasing his per game scoring average to 19.4 per contest.  
 
Finishing second behind Mitchell was Jeremiah Stanton who scored 22 of his own and dished out a team best five assists. 
 
As a team the Lions converted on 15 three pointers to the Blazers' seven with Stanton hitting five. 10 of the team's 19 three-point attempts in the second half would wind up falling. 
 
Chase McWhite found himself involved on both ends of the court with 10 points and five rebounds in addition to a game best three blocks. 
 
Joey Callahan led all bench scorers with 11 points in an efficient 18 minutes.
 
A season high 95 points from the Lions in their conference opener would ultimately not be enough against a high-powered Hood offense.
