READING, Pa. – Men's Lacrosse (0-1) officially opened spring sports for Albright against FDU-Florham (1-0). Through 60 minutes of back-and-forth physical play, the Devils would wind up leaving with a 16-6 road win.
Nick Antonio would put the Lions on the board with their first two goals of the afternoon. Antonio would finish the day with four total points by way of three goals with an assist to surpass the milestone of 100 career points.
Assisting on Antonio's second goal was
Justin Moroney who accounted for three points of his own including a pair of goals on four shots.
After a slow first half, the Lions would find their stride in the third quarter and outscored the Devils 3-2 before
Derek Hanson scoring the opening goal in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to six (12-6).
Aidan Gracyzk,
Nate Howe,
Ryan Conover and
Malachi Moyd all found themselves involved on the defensive end and each recorded a turnover.
Ultimately a 4-0 run by the high-powered Devils offense was enough for them to close out the game and leave Shirk Stadium with their first win of the season.
