READING, Pa. – Women's Basketball (10-13, 6-6 MAC Commonwealth) played the first of two straight games against Hood (3-20, 0-12 MAC Commonwealth). After a back and forth first half, a dominant third quarter by the Lions was enough for them to defeat the Blazers in a 57-54 win.
Chrisdin Jones would lead the way for the Lions on offense with an efficient 20 points in 26 minutes along with a team best four steals and a block on the defensive end.
After a tough first quarter, the Lions outscore the Blazers 16-12 in the second quarter to cut their deficit to five (32-27) after the first 20 minutes of play.
Albright began the second half firing on all cylinders and outscored Hood 20-6 in the third quarter.
Julia Zakovitch finished second behind Jones with 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
As a team the Lions forced 29 turnovers which included the team recording 18 steals in the process.

Ciarra Gibbs all joined Jones and Zakovitch with multiple seals.
Orianna Edmond was her usual self on defense and recorded a team best four blocks in 28 minutes along with creating a pair of second chance opportunities with two offensive rebounds.
After the Blazers cut the Lead to one (55-54) with under 10 seconds to play,
Chrisdin Jones drew a last second foul and converted on both of her free-throws to secure a win for the Lions and keep the team's playoff hopes alive.
