READING, Pa. – Women's Basketball (10-14, 6-7 MAC Commonwealth) played their second straight on the road against the Mustangs of Stevenson (10-14, 7-6 MAC Commonwealth). Through 40 minutes of play, Stevenson would down the Lions by a score of 74-42.
Leading the Lions with 17 points in 31 minutes was
Chrisdin Jones who also brought in six rebounds and recorded a steal on defense. The sophomore has recorded 15 or more points in four of her last six games.
As a team the Lions out rebounded the Mustangs on both the offensive and defensive ends.
Camille McCaskell brought in a pair of offensive boards in addition to a steal in 16 minutes off the bench.
Orianna Edmond flirted with a double-double by way of a game best 10 rebounds in addition to seven points and three blocks.
Also contributing on the glass was
Julia Zakovitch who finished second behind Edmond with eight rebounds including five on the offensive end to create a plethora of second chance opportunities for her and her teammates.
The Lions defended the perimeter well and held the Mustangs to only a 21.1% shooting performance from downtown.
