READING, Pa. – Men's Basketball (16-9, 12-2 MAC Commonwealth) concluded their regular season against York (19-6, 9-5 MAC Commonwealth) at the Bollman Center. With the number two seed already clinched, the Lions were playing for pride on behalf of their seniors while also chasing history. Through 40 minutes of physical play, the Lions capped off their regular season with a record setting 12
th straight win.

Qadir Mitchell,
Chase McWhite,
Jeremiah Stanton and
Phanique Dupree were honored for their contributions. Mitchell was also formally recognized as the 42
nd player in school history to join the 1,000 points club prior to tip-off.
The Spartans opened the first half strong and built up a 12-point lead (22-10) before the Lions started fighting back.
Jeremiah Stanton helped get things started with some early buckets and ended the game with 10 points and a pair of assists in 27 minutes.
Chase McWhite also helped turn things around for the Lions and had a senior day to remember with 21 points in addition to five blocks and two steals and flirted with a double-double by way of eight rebounds.
McWhite and Stanton's work would help Albright seize momentum in the final minutes of the first half and enter the locker room with a 31-28 lead.
The second half featured more back and forth action which included a number of lead changes in the early minutes.
Spencer Fuller-Wright brought his best defensively and recorded a career best three blocks and brought in seven rebounds.
Albright began to pull away with around eight minutes left largely impart to the play of
Qadir Mitchell. Mitchell scored 13 straight for the Lions to finish with 29 points marking his fourth straight 20+ point performance.
Josh Strong and
Justin Turner each recorded blocks in a game where Albright swatted away 10 shots and held the Spartans to under 40% shooting (35.71%).
A 46-point performance in the second half was enough for the Lions to hold on for a 77-61 victory for their fifth MAC Commonwealth sweep of the regular season.

The Lions will host the Spartans yet again in the first round of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament on Wednesday (2/25). A tip-off time for the game is yet to be determined.
