READING, Pa. – Women's tennis (4-3) was locked in a tightly contested match against Methodist (6-1) trialing 3-2 before play was stopped due to darkness.
The Lions returned home for the first time since February 28. Today's match marked the second straight for Albright against a team located outside of the Keystone State.
Albright took the doubles point winning two of the three matches.
Michelle Timothy and
Elicia Aponte won at #1 doubles 7-5.
Nadia Margaritov and
Daniela Diez secured the point with a 6-4 win in #3 doubles.
Timothy followed up her doubles win with a hard fought 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win. Timothy battled back from down 0-1 to win her third match out of the last four.
Alaina Smith and Diez both saw their matches go unfinished. Smith was locked in a tight one tied 6-6 in the first set tiebreak. Diez was leading 5-3 before play was halted.
