COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Women's tennis (5-3) got back to their winning ways on Friday afternoon beating Ursinus (3-2) 5-2 on the Bears home courts. The win is the second straight for the Lions over the Bears.

The Lions took courts five of the six singles courts on Friday afternoon showcasing their talents.

Nadia Margaritov was dominant in #1 singles winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Margaritov improves to 6-2 so far this season across the fall and spring seasons.

Michelle Timothy won in #2 singles winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-3. The win is the second straight for Timothy at #2 singles.

Elicia Aponte was able to break her opponents' serve in both sets to win 6-4, 6-4. Aponte has four wins this season across the fall and spring seasons with each win coming in straight sets.

Alaina Smith and Daniela Diez secured the win for the Lions in #5 and #6 singles. Smith earned the hard fought three sets win, winning 7-5, 4-6, 7-5. Diez was also locked into a tight match winning in three sets. Diez prevailed with winning 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Timothy and Aponte teamed up in #1 singles and won handily 6-0. The duo is 4-1 this season when paired together.
