Women’s Lacrosse Dominates Gwynedd Mercy

The Lions picked up their third win in their last four games for arguably their best performance of the season.

READING, Pa. – Women's Lacrosse (4-2) continued their extended stay at Shirk Stadium with a match against Gwynedd Mercy (0-6). The Lions scored the first six goals and never looked back in what turned out to be a 21-5 victory.

Madison Wood opened the scoring with the first of her four goals off an assist from Paige Lipp a little over two minutes into the first quarter. Wood scored her four goals on five shots while Lipp finished with a game best seven points including four goals of her own.

Also contributing in the early frame was Riley Basht who scored and led all players with six goals to bring her total to an impressive 26 on the season. The junior has accounted for two or more goals in every game this season.

The Lions carried their momentum into the second quarter which allowed them to enter the locker room with a 10-3 lead.

Zoe Dicks once again dominated both ends of the field with six points including a team leading four assists along with eight draw controls and three caused turnovers.
