NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Men's Lacrosse (3-5) traveled to New Wilmington to face the Westminster Titans (4-4) on one of the teams' final out of conference games of the season. Through four quarters of play, the Titans would best the Lions by a score of 18-10.
After the Titans struck first, the Lions scored the text two courtesy of
Justin Moroney and
Nick Antonio. Moroney and Antonio would combine for nine goals with Antonio also recorded an assist on the day.
Also helping the Lions strike early was
Semaj Moyd who scored unassisted to give the Lions a 3-2 lead in the early minutes of the second quarter.
Both teams traded blows throughout the first two quarters resulting in a 6-6 tie with neither team building a lead of more than two goals.
Moroney would score the first goal of the second half as the teams would continue to go back and forth with one another.
Unfortunately for the Lions, the Titans' offense would pull away in the fourth quarter allowing them to secure their fourth win of the season.
As a team the Lions forced eight turnovers including a pair caused by
Kraig Sullivan in addition to the junior recovering a ground ball.
