IMMACULATA, Pa. – Men's lacrosse (3-6) went on the road for their third straight game on Wednesday afternoon facing Immaculata (8-3). The Mighty Macs were able to win the game by a final score of 11-8.
Today's game marked the final non-conference game of the season for the Lions. The conference slate will see the Lions at home for three games and on the road for the remaining four.
The game was tightly contested throughout the first half seeing Albright trail Immaculata at the half 5-4.
Nick Antonio scored three first half goals for the Lions.
Third quarter went to the Lions scoring twice while holding Immaculata scoreless in the frame.
Justin Moroney and
Derek Hanson scored the goals for the Lions in the third.
The Mighty Macs found their form in the fourth quarter, scoring six goals to escape with a 11-8 victory on their home turf.
Antonio finished with a team high four goals and added nine ground balls and five caused turnovers. Moroney added two goals of his own and
Nate Howe was also credited with a goal.
Kraig Sullivan and
Brandon Jones were credited with four caused turnovers. Six different Lions tallied a caused turnover resulting in 18 caused as a team.
Brady Etzkorn made 16 saves in goal resulting in a new career high for the first-year goalie.
