Men’s Lacrosse Opens Conference Play Against Stevenson

The Lions officially opened conference play on Saturday afternoon hosting the Stevenson Mustangs at Shirk Stadium. Stevenson left with a 36-2 victory.

READING, Pa. – Men's lacrosse began Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth play on Saturday afternoon hosting the Stevenson Mustangs (2-7, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). Stevenson earned a 36-2 victory over the Lions.

Coming into the week the Mustangs received votes in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national poll.

Stevenson scored 22 first half goals and never looked back to start conference play at 1-0. The Mustangs Max Racich led the way with seven points.

Justin Moroney and Derek Hanson tallied the goals for the Lions. Moroney added an assist to his day to go with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Nate Howe collected five ground balls and caused a team high three turnovers. Brandon Jones was credited with three ground balls and one caused turnover.
