READING, Pa. – Men's lacrosse (3-8, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth) opened Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth play on Wednesday afternoon making the short trip across town to face Alvernia (7-3, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth). The Golden Wolves protected home field and won the game 19-8.
Alvernia scored seven first half goals to lead 7-3 at the break.
Justin Moroney netted two first half goals for the Lions.
The Golden Wolves would build on their lead in the second half to win their first conference game of the year.
Moroney tied for a game high with five goals and added an assist for six total points. The senior collected four ground balls and moved into ninth all time for career points with 129 to date.

Derek Hanson and
Semaj Moyd each scored a goal for Albright while Antonio and Hanson were credited with assists.
Brandon Jones and Ryan Conver each caused two turnovers and two ground balls.
