READING, Pa. – Women's tennis (7-3) played their second straight home match beating Marymount (3-8) 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Albright has won their last two matches via shutout.
The Lions won their third straight match improving to 4-1 in the spring season. Combining the fall and spring seasons six of the Lions seven wins have come by 7-0 scorelines.
Across all six singles matches Albright dropped only six games total controlling play up and down the lineup.
Allison Horick (#4 singles) and
Daniela Diez (#6 singles) each won by the same scoreline of 6-1, 6-1.
Alaina Smith (#5 singles) blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 while
Michelle Timothy (#2 singles) nearly did the same winning 6-1, 6-0.
Nadia Margaritov won handily in #1 singles controlling play to win 6-2, 6-0.
Elicia Aponte (#2 singles) took the first set 6-3 and then dominated the second set winning 6-0.
Timothy and Aponte took the #1 doubles match in a tightly contested 7-5 victory. Smith and Horick helped earn the team doubles point winning 6-2.
Margaritov and Diez did not drop a single game on their way to a 6-0 win in #3 doubles.
