READING, Pa. – Women's Lacrosse (5-4) returned to Shirk Stadium to host Arcadia (9-0) as the Lions close in on conference play. Following four quarters of lay, the visiting Knights would remain unbeaten and leave with a 17-7 win.
Madison Wood scored the game's first goal just 54 seconds after the opening draw. Wood finished the day with two goals on as many shots and recorded a ground ball and draw control.
Also finishing the day with multiple goals was
Riley Basht who tallied another four to what has been a career year so far for the Junior.
After the Lions won the first quarter (3-2), the Knights bounced back and entered halftime with a 7-4 lead.
Zoe Dicks dished out the first of her three assists to Basht for the team's first goal of the second half. Dicks also recorded eight draw controls in addition to recovering a ground ball.
Paige Lipp and
Kaila Clark held down the fort on defense and combined for four of the team's seven caused turnovers.
Ultimately, the high powered and unbeaten Knights would go on to best the Lions in what was just their second loss at home this season.
