ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – Baseball (10-6-1, 3-4 MAC Commonwealth) began their third Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth series of the season matching up against Eastern (14-7, 3-4 MAC Commonwealth) on Friday afternoon. Eastern rallied in the later innings to take game one 8-3.
Albright scored the first two runs of the game in the second and third innings.
Christian Eckstein put the Lions on the board via an RBI single in the second inning that scored
Seth Strecker.
Anthony Knight doubled the lead on an RBI single in the third that scored
Michael Avino. Eastern would take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning before Knight would notch his second RBI of the day in the away half of the seventh to tie the game at three.
Eastern stretched their lead to 5-3 in the seventh and added three more runs in the eighth to take game one.
Knight, Strecker and Avino each had two hits combining for six of the Lions 10 total hits. Avino scored two of the three teams runs with Chris Goral scoring the third.
