READING, Pa. – Softball (13-21, 4-8 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road for their final road conference series of the regular season taking on Stevenson (13-15, 5-7 MAC Commonwealth) throughout the day on Saturday.
Juliette Licata reached the 100-career hit milestone in game one.
Game 1: L, 2-1
The Lions scored first in game one plating a run in the second inning. Albright had three hits in the inning with
Madison Lasko leading off the inning with a single.
Sadie Gonzalez reached on a bunt advancing Lasko to second.
Adriana Buonacore singled to left field to score Lasko putting Albright in front 1-0.
Stevenson scored twice in the third inning to regain the lead at 2-1. Ultimately the score would hold until the end resulting in a Mustang win.
In the top of the fifth inning, Licata singled to left center giving her 100 career hits. Licata, who is only a junior, is hitting .379 this season and has not finished a season with a batting average under .355 in her Albright career.
Lasko and Gonzalez each had two hits in game one. Albright notched eight total hits in game one seeing six different Lions record at least one hit.
Alexis Laboy was solid on the mound today for Albright throwing six innings striking out two along the way.
Game 2: L, 10-2
Stevenson's bats came to life in game two. The Mustangs were able to pull away from the Lions by scoring five runs in the fourth inning.
Slaydon Fisher led the offense in game two collecting two hits. Licata tallied her 101
st career hit that went for an RBI scoring
Riley Winchell.
Grace Landante, Lasko and Buonacore rounded out the hits for the Lions in game two. Lasko was credited with an RBI in the third inning that scored Landante.
