Softball Bats Explode in Game Two to Earn Split Against Arcadia

The Lions responded in game two after a game one loss scoring 12 runs on 16 hits to win game two over Arcadia.

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Softball (14-24) earned a series split against Arcadia (11-23) in a MAC Commonwealth Freedom crossover series on Thursday afternoon. The games marked the final non-conference games of the 2026 regular season for both teams. The Knights took game one 4-3 before the Albright bats game to life in game two winning 12-8.

Game 1: L, 4-3

No runs came across the board until the fourth inning. Arcadia struck first, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third, but Albright responded in the away half of the fifth.

Adriana Buonacore and Juliette Licata led off the fifth with back-to-back singles. A Grace Landante double scored Buonacore for the Lions first run of the game.

Madison Lasko put the ball in play scoring Licata on a sacrifice fly. Albright tied the game at three via a Rose Chando single to left field that scored Landante.

The Knights scored in the bottom of the sixth to steal game one from the Lions.

Licata finished the game with two hits and a run scored. Landante, Lasko and Chando were each credited with RBIs in game one. Albright tallied six total hits while drawing three walks as a team.

Game 2: W, 12-8

The bats came alive in game two for the Lions. Six different players recorded two or more hits with three different Lions recording two or more RBIs.
