LANCASTER, Pa. – Baseball (11-15-1) began their week with a non-conference game against Franklin & Marshall College (16-9) on Monday afternoon. The Diplomats took today's game 12-2 in seven innings.
Franklin & Marshall came out swinging scoring nine runs across the first two innings. The Diplomats used their strong start to their advantage to ultimately win the game.
Chris Gorla and
John Pecoraro each collected two hits for the Lions. For Gorla it marks his seventh multi hit game of the season and the fifth for Pecoraro who also notched an RBI in today's contest.
Anthony Knight,
Luke Filliben and
Christian Eckstein all recorded a hit this afternoon.
Eckstein's hit went for an RBI that scored Filliben.
Steven Bright was solid in relief, pitching five innings allowing only one run. Bright was pitching to contact recording eight ground ball outs.
