Women’s Tennis to Face Case Western Reserve in NCAA First Round

The Lions will compete in there third straight NCAA Tournament when play beings on Friday, May 8 against Case Western Reserve.

READING, Pa. – Women's tennis won their third straight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Championship beating Messiah 4-2. The win automatically qualifies the Lions for the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships. Albright will play Case Western Reserve in the first round on Friday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Albright will make their third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament also qualifying in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The 2025-2026 season was outstanding for Albright as they won 14 matches against four losses. Albright's best stretch of the season came in the spring when the squad rattled off eight straight wins that spanned over a month. A total of five Lions were named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Team with two Lions making the First Team and three Lions making the Second Team. Case Western Reserve (Oh.) comes into the first round as the #15 team nationally. The Spartans went 12-6 this season qualifying for the NCAA Tournament as an at large out of the University Athletic Association.

The Spartans will be making their fourth all-time appearance in the national tournament. CWRU reached the Third Round of the postseason in both 2022 and 2024.
