NEWTOWN, Pa. — The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) released their weekly Player of the Week honors with three Lions appearing on the list.
Delana Dunkelberger (field hockey),
Adam Good (men's tennis) and
Jonatan Liljeblad (men's golf) have been honored this week.
Dunkelberger earned her first career win and shutout in her second collegiate start during Saturday's (Sept. 12) matchup against Gwynedd Mercy. The Lions beat the Griffins 1-0 with Dunkelberger turning aside nine shots on the day.
Field hockey will be back in action at Cedar Crest tomorrow (Sept. 16) at 4 p.m.
Good was able to open his senior season with a clean sweep at the Washington College Tournament on Saturday (Sept. 12), winning his singles play 6-0, 6-1. He teamed up with
Matias Contreras for doubles play, earning a 6-0 win.
Men's tennis will host their home opener tomorrow against Penn State Berks at 3:30 p.m.
Liljeblad took home gold at The Berkleigh Challenge this weekend (Sept. 11-12), continuing the stellar play seen from men's golf so far this fall season. With a cumulative two-day total of 144 (even par), he topped the field of 79 golfers. His score also contributed to the Albright "A" team's win. In play, he opened the tournament with a 73 before dialing in a 71 in the final round, carding three birdies along the way.
Men's golf will take a break from action this week before heading to Hawks Point Golf Course in New Jersey on Sept. 21-22 to take on The Gauntlet tournament.
