LANCASTER, Pa. – Men's Soccer (2-2-1) took home a second straight victory against the Chargers of Lancaster Bible (1-5). The Lions found momentum early and never looked back in what turned out to be another shutout victory.
John Stum struck first for the Lions in just the 15
th minute of play off an assist from Brady Divito for his first collegiate goal. Stum's goal would be the only score in the first half leading to the Lions entering the locker room with a 1-0 lead.
Despite the score, Lancaster Bible had their fair share of opportunities but were denied courtesy of stellar defense and goaltending from the Lions.
Mike Lawry made four saves in a 90-minute effort for his sixth career shutout.
Three Lions ended the night with multiple shots including
Zach Fratrik and
Alexis Zurita-Jimenez.
With control in their hands late, Brady Divito put the icing on the cake with his third goal of the season via an assist from
Jose Serrano. The Lions defense would hold strong in the minutes after for a 2-0 victory.
