READING, Pa. – Volleyball (3-5) played on their home court for the first time in nearly a week against Penn State Abington (4-3). Following back-and-forth momentum across three sets, Abington would wind up taking the match in the form of a 3-0 sweep.
Neve Straff once again led the way for the Lions with nine points including six kills, three service aces and nine digs. Straff's performance led to her surpassing both 700 career kills (710) and 2,500 career attacks (2505) this season.
Also surpassing a milestone on the night was
Paige Lipp who's 11 attacks pushed the senior past the career mark of 200 for Albright (214).
Anyah Carter tied Straff for the team lead in kills with six in addition to an assist and three digs on the night.
The closest match of the night game in set three which was narrowly decided by a score of 25-23. During this set the Lions caught fire at one point with a 5-0 run which included a number of quality serves from
Lily Donovan who ended the night with four points including three kills and a service ace.
Ultimately, Abington would come through in the final set when it mattered most allowing them to leave with a road victory over the Lions.
