Albright Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Inductees

Four Lion legends have been selected as the newest alumni to enter the school’s athletic Hall of Fame.

READING, Pa. – The Albright College Athletic Department has announced that four former athletes will represent the athletics Hall of Fame's class of 2026. The four inductees are Danisha Higgs, Albert Medoro, Scott Pillar and Daniel Sobolewski. 
 
Higgs ran track at Albright for four years and was named to the All-MAC's indoor track first team three times in addition to receiving All-MAC second team outdoor track three times. Higgs was named the conference's rookie of the year in 2011 and was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic squad three times. Higgs' most successful year came in 2013 as a junior and was named the USTFCCCA Mideast Region's track athlete of the year in addition to being named MAC indoor and outdoor track and field athlete of the year and NCAA Championship D3 All-American recognition. Higgs graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Biochemistry and now serves as a physician and senior house officer.
 
Medoro was a four-year member of the men's basketball team and was named All-MAC second team in 2007 and All-MAC first team in 2008. Medoro appears in the team's record books numerous times with feats such as the second most rebounds in a single game and the third most rebounds in a single season. Medoro's freshman year (2005) saw the Lions win the MAC-Commonwealth Championship and reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Medoro was named MAC Commonwealth player of the year in 2008 along with being recognized as the ECAC South Region player of the year, first team NABC All-District and D3 News' All-American fourth team. Medoro graduated in 2008 with a degree in business management and marketing and now serves as the president of Custom Process Services, Inc. 
 
Pillar was a four-year member of the football team and was part of the 2009 MAC Championship and NCAA Quarterfinal team as a freshman. Pillar ranks fifth in the program's history in receptions, receiving yards and received a pair of All-MAC First Team selections in 2011 and 2012 and in 2011 was named to D3 Football's All-Region team. Pillar's senior year saw him take home the triple crown and lead the MAC in receptions, receiving yards and touchdown receptions as the team went on to win the ECAC Bowl Championship. Pillar graduated with a degree in sociology and criminology and signed a professional contract with the St. Louis Rams in 2013. Pillar now serves as a senior sales representative at Calumet Refining. 
 
Sobolewski was also a member of the school's football team and still holds the records for the 10 longest field goals made in program history and remains the all-time leader in points, field goals and PAT's. Sobolewski was a nine-time MAC Player of the Week, five-time ECAC Player of the Week and a six-time National Player of the Week. From 2013-2015 Sobolewski was named a member of D3 Football's All-East Region and a D3 Football All-American. Sobolewski's senior year saw the Lions win the MAC Championship and reach the NCAA tournament in 2015. Sobolewski graduated with a degree in business administration and signed a professional contract with the New York Jets and now serves as a firefighter and EMT.
