Former NCAA Division I student-athlete Alex Kennedy enters her seventh season as the Albright head coach in 2019.

The 2018 season saw a six-win increase for the Lions as Kennedy recorded her second highest single-season winning percentage in her time at Albright.

Kennedy assumed a rebuilding project in the 2017 season, guiding the Lions to a 3-20 record 

In 2016, the Lions recorded 10 victories, doubling their season total from 2015. 

In her third season at Albright, Kennedy directed the Lions to a 5-18 overall record.

The volleyball program posted an overall mark of 8-19 and finished 1-7 in conference play during the 2014 campaign.

Albright went 12-15 in her first season, including a 3-6 mark in Commonwealth Conference play.

Kennedy was the head JV girls volleyball coach at local Wyomissing High School in 2016, leading the squad to an undefeated season. She has also coached at Infinity Volleyball Club and at several local high school camps.

A 2012 graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, Kennedy was a four-year member of the Explorers' varsity program. She missed her sophomore year due to injury, but returned to start 20 matches as a senior.

That season, Kennedy totaled 86 kills, 27 blocks and a hitting percentage of .178.

A National Honor Society member in high school, Kennedy participated in numerous service projects at La Salle including Big Brother/Big Sister, Susan G. Komen Foundation fundraising, and peer mediation services.

She graduated with a degree in psychology and Dean List's honors, after attending Wyomissing High School.
