READING, Pa. - Looking to celebrate senior night with a huge win over red hot DeSales University (18-6), the Lions (13-14) hosted their final regular season non-conference match Thursday evening in the Bollman Center. Unfortunately, the red and white were unable to cool off the Bulldogs as they fell by the final score of 3-0.
DeSales entered the match with a 12-0 undefeated streak which began back in September. Since their win streak began, the Bulldogs have only lost five games total and have now shutout 10 of their last 13 opponents.
Even with those tough odds, the Lady Lions put up a great fight through all three games. Errors however proved to be Albright's ultimate downfall totaling 25 attack errors, eight receiving errors, three service errors, and three block errors. DeSales was also charged with a large amount of errors as well totaling 16 attack errors, six service errors, seven block errors, and one ball handling error.
Albright battled back and forth with the Bulldogs throughout the evening but it was DeSales that walked away with a 25-19 game one win, a 25-15 game two win, and a 25-17 game three win.
