CHESTER, Pa. – Looking for another conference win to keep their postseason dreams alive volleyball (8-14/2-3 CC) faced-off against Widener University in a Commonwealth Conference match. Despite playing two extremely close games, the Pride (16-10/4-1 CC) was able to take the 3-0 conference win Wednesday evening at the Schwartz Center.
In game one Widener narrowly defeated the Lions 25-22. They then followed that up with a 25-18 win in game two. To close out the night the Pride pulled out a 25-21 decision.

Danielle Ozment# who led the match in kills with 12. #
Lauren Higgins#, fresh of her record setting performance on Monday totaled 26 assists. Four players recorded double-figures in digs with Ozment recording 17, followed by #

Laura van Bendegem# with 12 and #
Alyssa Hoogendoorn# with 11.
For the Pride Angela DiMaria led her team with nine kills and was joined by Nicole Merton who drove home eight kills of her own. Setter Jamie Ballew tallied 28 assists, and Meghan Spence led the defense with 20 digs.
Volleyball returns to action on Tuesday when they host Elizabethtown College at 7 p.m. Prior to the start of Tuesday's match the Lady Lions will take a moment to honor their senior members.
