READING, Pa. - In their final home match of the 2010 season, the red and white faced off against the Blue Jays of Elizabethtown College (18-8/5-1 Commonwealth). Despite Albright's best efforts Elizabethtown took the conference win with a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening in the Bollman Center.
The Lions (8-15/2-4 CC), who honored their four senior members prior to the start of the match, tried to give their teammates something to truly celebrate about. Unfortunately, the Blue Jays proved to the be the spoiler earning a 25-13 game one win, a 25-18 game two win, and a 25-22 game three win.
In the third game, the Lions had the Blue Jays back on their heals, but they were unable to make that final push to keep Tuesday's match going. Senior hitter #
Danielle Ozment# scored 10 kills in her final home match, while setter #
Lauren Higgins# totaled 21 assists.

Kelly Nicodemus# combined for eight digs in the match, with Nicodemus scoring one of Albright's two service aces. Sophomore #
Alyssa Hoogendoorn# tallied six kills in the conference loss.
Combined, Albright totaled eight blocks, with Ozment tallying three. The Reading native also put up a team high seven digs as well.
Volleyball returns to action on Thursday when they travel to DeSales University for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
