OWINGS MILLS, Md. – It was a long afternoon for the Lady Lions as they faced Wilkes University and Stevenson University as part of the Stevenson Tri-Match. The red and white split with their two non-conference foes first picking up a 3-2 win over Wilkes, but then dropped a 3-0 decision to Stevenson Saturday afternoon at Owings Mill Gym.
Against the Colonels, the Lady Lions gave up a 2-0 lead but battled back in the fifth game to pick-up the win. The first two games were scored 25-14 and 25-18. Wilkes comeback was sparked by a 25-23 win in game three and a 27-25 win in game four. Albright took victory with a 15-7 decision in the deciding game.

Danielle Ozment# led the match with 19 kills on 59 attempts. #
Alyssa Hoogendoorn# also helped out the Lions offense with 11 kills of her own. #
Lauren Higgins# tallied a season-high 41 assists in the win. #
Casey McFadden# and Ozment led the defense with a combined 47 digs, while #
Laura van Bendegem# totaled three blocks.
In the second match, the host Mustangs defeated the Lions by the scores of 25-13, 25-14, and 26-24. Ozment once again led Albright with eight kills on 33 attempts. Higgins added to her weekend total with 21 more assists.
McFadden recorded 21 digs, while Ozment added 18 more of her own for the red and white.
Volleyball returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lebanon Valley for a Commonwealth Conference match. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
