READING, Pa. - Led by Marissa Harrison, the Colonials of Wilkes University (3-3) shutout the host Lady Lions (0-3) three games to none Tuesday evening in the Bollman Center. Wilkes defeated Albright by the scores of 27-25, 25-22, and 25-17.
For the red and white, their offense was fueled by #
Alyssa Hoogendoorn# who scored 10 kills on the night. #
Danielle Ozment# was a close second with eight kills, followed by #
Lauren Higgins# with five.
Higgins also tallied 23 assists in the three-game match, while Wilkes setter Alex Zero managed to put up 12 assists of her own. Defensively, the Colonials recorded 63 digs as team as compared to Albright's 49.
Three players finished in double figures for Wilkes with Allie Kelleher totaling 20 digs on the night. Harrison and Kate McGurk finished with 12 and 10 digs respectively.
Ozment was the Lady Lions defensive leader recording 14 digs, with Higgins right behind her with 12.
Albright returns to action tomorrow evening when they take on Penn State Altoona at 7:30 p.m.
