Codi Herr won three individual events as the Albright College women's swimming team defeated MAC opponent Arcadia 154-106 in the Lions' first away meet of the season.
Albright got off on the right foot as
Kaitlyn Huizing,
Amanda Osterlind,
Danielle Hassard and
Gwen Stefan won the opening 200 medley relay by just .89 seconds.
With multiple swimmers trying out new events, Arcadia took the next three races to grab a 41-33 lead. Albright pulled within one point as
Katy Oeste (1:13.15) and
Aimee Snyder swept the top two spots in the 100 back.
Herr and Hassard then went 1-2 in the 200 fly to put the Lions ahead for good. Herr would add victories in the 100 free (59.91) and 100 fly (1:02.99).
Stefan and Snyder followed Herr for a 1-2-3 sweep of the 100 free, and
Kari Keller,
Liz Muller and
Emily Summers followed that with a sweep in the 200 breast.
Osterlind added a first-place finish in the 500 free (5:31.93) and Snyder won the 400 IM (4:53.48).
The Lions improve to 4-1, including a 3-0 mark against MAC opposition.
