YORK, Pa. – The duo of the Albright women's swimming team
Laurel Gingrich and
Morgan Stuhltrager opened the 2024 MAC Swimming Championships in style both earning podium finishes. Gingrich won the 50-yard freestyle and Stuhltrager took home seventh in the 200 IM.
DAY 1 FINAL RESULTS
Gingrich picked up right where she left off in the MAC Swimming Championships from last season. Gingrich turned in a blazing time of 24.25 50-yard freestyle to win the event on day one of the MAC Championships. Gingrich won the silver in the same event during the 2023 MAC Championships. With tonight's victory, Gingrich now has been crowned a MAC Champion in the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyle events throughout the course of her career.
Stuhltrager made sure the Lions duo would both end day one reaching the podium. In the 200 IM Stuhltrager took home seventh with a time of 2:17.58. Stuhltrager improved by over a minute from her prelim time in the finals to secure her spot on the podium. Stuhltrager now has a gold medal and a seventh-place finish in the 200 IM during her career.
