READING, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's swimming team is set to compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships beginning on Thursday, February 15 and concluding on Sunday, February 18. The four-day Championship meet will begin at 9:30 a.m. and be held at the Graham Aquatic Center in York Pennsylvania across the four days.

Prior to the start of the MAC Championships the conference released their Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll and the women were selected to finish in 11th place.

Messiah received nine first place votes taking home the top spot. Rounding out the top five is Stevens (two first place votes) coming in second, Misericordia third, Arcadia fourth and Widener fifth. In all there will be 12 different MAC institutions in action this weekend.

Morgan Stuhltrager, Ruth Castro, and Laurel Gingrich will be representing Albright competing in the championships this year. All three athletes have competed in numerous events during this season. Both Gingrich and Stuhltrager will be appearing in their fourth MAC Championships this season.

Gingrich was MAC Champion last year in both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle. Gingrich finished with a blazing time of 52.29 in the 100 and a time of 1:55.60 in the 200. Stuhltrager also took gold last year in the 200-IM finishing with a time of 2:10.77. Both athletes have been selected as MAC swimmers of the week on multiple occasions throughout their careers.
 
As a reminder, there will be NO on-site ticket sales. Spectators who arrive at Graham Aquatic Center without a ticket will not be allowed entry. There is also a no re-entry policy this year. If a spectator leaves a session, they will not be allowed back in without scanning an unused ticket. Please communicate this to parents who are going to try to share tickets.
