Results
The Albright College women's swimming team touched the wall first in all 14 events as the Lions defeated host Cabrini, 157-91 on Thursday.
The Lions took the top two spots in each of the first five events, starting with the 200 medley relay.
Kaitlyn Huizing,
Kari Keller,
Codi Herr and
Gwen Stefan won in 1:55.98, while teammates
Aimee Snyder,
Katy Oeste,
Danielle Hassard and
Adina Gaughran were second.
Gaughran also won two individual events- the 100 fly (1:08.37) and 100 free (59.81), while joining
Amanda Osterlind, Stefan and Huizing for a first place exhibition finish in the closing 200 free relay.
Liz Muller,
Emily Weaver and
Alyce Mancini swept the 1000 free, and Osterlind led a 1-2 Albright finish in the 200 free, with
Amanda Fisher.
Huizing (30.22) and Hassard went 1-2 in the 50 back and Oeste (33.64) joined
Emily Summers for a 1-2 finish in the 50 breast.
Herr won the 50 free in 25.11 (followed by Stefan), Keller (1:08.60) won the 100 back and Muller took the 100 breast for her second victory of the meet. Summers followed Muller for her second runner-up place.
Osterlind then led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 500 free, followed by
Rebecca Woskoff and Weaver.
At that point Albright was just swimming exhibition, but
Melanie Roy was still first to the wall in the 50 fly (31.50) and Snyder finished first in the 100 IM (1:04.59).
The Lions win their fifth straight meet to improve to 5-1 and will host MAC opponent Messiah on Saturday.
