Freshman
Amanda Osterlind had a break-out day in the distance events as the Albright College women's swimming team defeated MAC opponent Messiah, 123-80.
Osterlind won the 1650 free in 18:18.88, smashing the previous pool record by almost 27 seconds. She then came back just a half hour later and won the 400 IM, in 4:55.14. She would also take the 500 free later in the meet.
Sophomore
Codi Herr also set a pool record, leading off the 400 free relay in 52.98- a new record for the 100 free (breaking her own existing mark).
Kari Keller and
Liz Muller followed Osterlind for a sweep in the IM as Albright dominated early.
Katy Oeste won the 200 free (2:01.50) and Herr took the 50 free (24.71).
The Lions had opened the meet by taking the 400 medley relay, with
Kaitlyn Huizing, Keller,
Danielle Hassard and
Adina Gaughran winning in 4:20.94.
Herr won her second event of the day in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 59.11.
The Lions improve to 6-1, including a 4-0 record in the MAC. Albright will compete next at the Swarthmore Invitational on December 2-3.
