Herr, Janowiak Lead Women's Swim Past Ursinus

Results

Sophomores Codi Herr and Tricia Janowiak helped the Albright College women's swimming team get past visiting Ursinus in a 116-89 Lions win, Wednesday in the Natatorium.

The pair led a stretch where Albright won five of six events to pull away. Herr took the 200 freestyle (2:00.42) and 100 butterfly (1:00.13), while Janowiak won the 50 free (25.61) and 100 backstroke (1:04.05).

Also in that stretch, senior Aimee Snyder won the 100 free in 56.03, with the Lions losing only the 200 IM.

After losing the opening relay by just .14 seconds, Albright's Amanda Osterlind and Liz Muller put their team back on top with a 1-2 finish in the 1000 free. Osterlind finished the race over 30 seconds ahead of the pack.

The Lions improve to 3-1 and will travel to Arcadia on Saturday.
