Field Hockey Loses to Goucher on Late Goal

Box Score

Despite controlling the game statistically the Albright College field hockey team fell 1-0 to Goucher after a solitarity second half goal, Saturday.

The Lions held an 11-4 advantage in penalty corners and a 7-4 advantage in shots. Albright forced Goucher goalie Micki Manheimer into three saves while their sophomore keeper Marguerite DeLucas made one stop.

Despite Albright's overall handle on the game, they were undone in the 56th minute, when Goucher's Justine Ruhlin hit a one-time shot into the back of the cage off a long pass from Lindsay Jones.

The Lions are 0-6 overall and travel to Scranton on Wednesday.
