The Albright College volleyball team swept hosts Harrisburg 3-0 (25-7, 25-17, 25-20) as the Lions split a tri-match, Saturday.

In their second match of the day, Albright fell to Misericordia 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-25).

The Lions jumped all over Harrisburg in the first set, and held on for the sweep after progressively tighter second and third games.

Sophomore Christa Mantz had nine kills while freshman Kyrsten Stanford added eighth kills and two blocks. Senior Laura van Bendegem had four total blocks and Casey McFadden notched a team-high 11 digs.

Against Misericordia, McFadden again led the way with 22 digs, while van Bendegem had six blocks. Also contributing were Alyssa Hoogendoorn (nine kills, two blocks) and Stanford (eight kills, two blocks).

Setter Morgan Heath had 46 total assists across both games. The Lions (4-10) host Widener on Tuesday in a crucial Commonwealth Conference encounter.
