The Albright College women's swimming team dominated early and throughout as the Lions defeated King's, 119-71 on Saturday.
Albright got off to a perfect start with the top three times in the opening 200 medley relay.
Kaitlyn Huizing,
Kari Keller,
Madison Hauk and
Katy Oeste beat out teammates
Tricia Janowiak,
Emily Summers,
Codi Herr and
Aimee Snyder. While unable to score,
Danielle Hassard,
Lauren Cormier,
Adina Gaughran and
Amanda Fisher finished in third.
The Lions kept that momentum going in winning the next four events.
Alyce Mancini won the 1000 free, in 12:02.58, before
Codi Herr (2:10.26) took first place in the 200 free.
Snyder and Janowiak went 1-2 in the 50 free, and Hauk and
Amanda Osterlind followed with a 1-2 performance in the 200 IM.
After losing the 100 fly, Albright rebounded immediately as Herr (26.80) and
Gwen Stefan took the top two places in the 100 free.
Liz Muller (1:07.59) took the 100 back, before Oeste (5:34.82) led a sweep of the 500 free with Janowiak and Keller.
Albright was swimming exhibition at this point, but Hauk, Summers and Cormier still turned in the three best times in the 100 breast.
The Lions improve to 10-2 and finish their MAC schedule with a 7-1 mark. They will have their final regular season meet (and Senior Day) on Saturday with a visit from Susquehanna.
