The Albright men's final relay team comprised of
Matt Runtas,
Ralph Porrazzo,
Mike McBride, and
Alex Bauer broke the Natatorium record for the 200-yard freestyle relay en route to defeating Messiah College 157-97.
The men broke the record by just one-hundredth of a second, clocking in at 1:28.20. The previous record was 1:28.21 and was set by the 2003 men's team.
The Lions swept both of the butterfly events. Sophomore Adam Vogel led the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.54, with freshman
Mitch Cain coming in second, and senior
Matt Bauer coming in third.
Freshman Runtas lead the sweep in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.40 with A. Bauer touching second and
Adam Kurtz following.
Runtas and A. Bauer also took first and third, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle.
There were also two 1-2 finishes by the Lions, the first led by Porrazzo in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.66; junior McBride touched second with a time of 1:50.66. Porrazzo also claimed first in the 200-yard backstroke.
The next 1-2 was in the 100-yard backstroke led by Kurtz coming in at 57.06, and then junior
Stephen Thomas who took second place going 58.89

Sophomore Ricky Sutton was also a double- winner placing first in the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle events.
