Host Ursinus won eight of 11 events as the Albright College women's swimming team lost a second consecutive road meet, 111-92 on Wednesday evening.
Junior
Codi Herr won a pair of races for the Lions, including the 50 free in 25.10. She also took first place in the 100 free (55.39).
Several key Lions attempted to swim back-to-back events. Senior
Madison Hauk came up just short in the 200 IM, losing to
Kyleigh Hamilton by less than four-tenths of a second. She came right back and swam the 100 fly, taking second again (1:03.84).
Sophomore
Amanda Osterlind won the evening's distance event, taking first in the 1000 free (11:16.72). Teammate
Liz Muller was second, in the Lions only 1-2 finish of the meet. Osterlind then attempted to swim the 200 free immediately after, but could only take fourth place.
The Lions had gotten off on the wrong foot, as Ursinus took the top two places in the opening 200 medley relay.

Kaitlyn Huizing took second in the 100 back, in 1:03.49. Osterlind (5:26.38) and
Gwen Stefan (5:26.46) then went 2-3 in the 500 free, both getting out-touched by Ursinus' Chelsea Kozior (5:26.54) in an incredibly close distance race.
In the 100 breast, senior
Kari Keller was second with a time of 1:13.42; sophomore
Lauren Cormier was third.
The Lions are 2-2, 2-1, and return home to host Arcadia on Saturday.
