Junior
Codi Herr continued her outstanding season, winning two individual events against Division II competition, as the Albright College women's swimming team was beaten 147-104 at Bloomsburg University on Saturday.
Herr took first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:56.76; teammate
Gwen Stefan placed third in the event. Herr later won the 50 free, in 25.69.
Stefan then took second place in the 500 free (5:26.36), with teammate
Amanda Osterlind in second. Herr was fourth, in her third race of the day, finally resulting in her first individual loss in dual meet competition this season.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Huizing also had a good day, placing second in the 100 back (1:04.47) and third in the 200 back (2:21.41).
Senior
Madison Hauk was second in the 200 fly, with a time of 2:21.20. She then grabbed first place points in two events later in the meet, with Bloomsburg swimming exhibitions.
Hauk took the points in the 100 fly, in 1:03.25, ahead of teammates
Danielle Hassard and
Adina Gaughran.
Hauk then swam 2:20.51 in the 200 IM, with teammate
Kari Keller behind her in 2:30.19.
Albright falls to 5-3 on the season and is finished with competition for the semester. The Lions will host Hood and Ocean County College in a tri-meet on January 5.
