The Albright College volleyball team fell to 0-2 in Commonwealth Conference play on Tuesday, falling 3-0 on the road to league newcomer Stevenson.
Defending Commonwealth Player of the Week
Alyssa Hoogendoorn led Albright with five kills and a hitting percentage of .167. Junior
Christa Mantz also had five kills, while senior
Casey McFadden had 12 digs.
The Lions played the Mustangs closest in the first set of a 3-0 loss (25-17, 25-7, 25-15).
Stevenson jumped out to a 10-3 lead, but the Lions crept to within four, at 15-11 on
Brandy Blimline's kill. Albright got to 18-14 down, but it was the closest they would be in the game.
The Mustangs were led by
Imani Hudson (12 kills) and setter
Jessica Geiselman (34 assists).
Albright is 1-4, 0-2 and will host Penn State- Altoona on Wednesday night.
