The Albright College men's swimming team improved to 2-0 on the season, with a 128-72 victory over Lycoming on Saturday.
Ralph Porrazzo,
Ken Richardson, Matthew Runtas and
Richard Edwards opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay, with a time of 1:41.49.
Matt Rein (10:35.34) and
Rainer Floeter (10:57.60) went 1-2 in the 1000 free, as part of a good day for the Lion distance swimmers. The pair also took the top two places in the 500 free, with teammate
Sean Yuschovitz completing the sweep.
Porrazzo had the swim of the day, going 54.70 in the 100 back and leading a sweep (with
Stephen Thomas in second and
Dan Cahill in third). Porrazzo (1:47.62) and
Mike McBride (1:54.39) went 1-2 in the 200 free.
Runtas won the 100 fly in 54.95, with
Alex Bauer taking second (56.31). McBride was the winner in the 100 free, with a time of 50.11.
Bauer (23.01) and Richardson (23.29) led Albright in the 50 free. Thomas (2:08.69) and
Sam Rosenthal took the top places in the 200 IM.
Albright will host Widener on Saturday in the Natatorium.
