The Albright College men's swimming team set two more pool records, as the Lions beat Messiah 158-104 on Saturday in the Natatorium.
The Lion men had already set seven pool records over their last two meets (home vs. Ursinus, at Arcadia) and pushed their streak to three straight meets with multiple facility marks.
Senior
Ralph Porrazzo has been involved with numerous records and set another individual pool mark, this time in the 200 back (1:54.44).
In the 400 free relay, Porrazzo,
Matt Runtas,
Mike McBride and
Alex Bauer concluded the meet with a Natatorium record of 3:14.62.
Albright had also opened the competition with a relay win, as
Stephen Thomas,
Ken Richardson, Bauer and Runtas took the 200 medley relay in 1:40.94.
The Lions pulled off one sweep, in the 200 free. Scoring for Albright was McBride (1:49.31),
Chris Longworth (2:00.16) and
Michael Capogna (2:00.27).
Bauer won the 50 free (21.99), and came right back to place second in the 100 free soon after. His time of 50.79 was bested only by McBride (49.29).
Rick Sutton and
Matthew Rein went 1-2 in both distance events, the 1000 free and 500 free.
Porrazzo also won the 100 back, in 56.49.
Mitch Cain took the 100 fly with a time of 55.89. In the 200 IM, Richardson (2:05.25) and
Sam Rosenthal (2:06.76) went 1-2.
Albright improves to 6-0, 5-0 MAC and will travel to face Cabrini on Tuesday night.
