Juniors
Amanda Osterlind and
Liz Muller played a part in three Lion sweeps as the Albright College women's swimming team defeated Widener, 112-88 on Saturday in the Natatorium.
Osterlind (11:02.94) and Muller (11:25.31) were joined by
Allie Peters (11:48.83) in a 1-2-3 Albright finish in the 1000 free.
The pair also led a sweep in the 200 IM, with Osterlind swimming 2:20.41 and Muller touching in 2:24.59.
Lauren Cormier finished third with a time of 2:25.11.
Gwen Stefan took first place in the 500 free (5:23.53), followed by Osterlind (5:28.42) and Muller (5:42.15).
Kaitlyn Huizing, Cormier,
Julia Barry and
Tricia Janowiak opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, swimming a time of 1:54.87.
Senior
Codi Herr won a pair of events, taking the 50 free (25.08) ahead of Janowiak (25.97). She also swam 59.16 in the 100 fly to edge second-place Barry (1:03.00).
Widener All-American
Laura Harris set an Albright Natatorium record of 59.59 in the 100 back. She also placed first in the 200 free.
The Lions improve to 3-0, overall and against MAC competition, and will host Ursinus on Wednesday.
